A Day in Chester

Posted by

This is a very brief post as I spent a very brief amount of time in Chester. I enjoyed it! I know I always say this, but I didn’t realise all the history that it had. If you haven’t already been there, it’s definitely worth a day out. Here’s some of the pics I took while I was there.

The HQ building in Chester has a very interesting curved design.
Eastgate Clock stands on the original site of a Roman Fortress. An iconic landmark of Chester and apparently the second most photographed clock in the world!
Bodelwyddan Castle was built in 1460 and was originally a manor house. During The First World War it served as a recuperation centre for wounded soldiers. It is now a museum and art gallery.
A typical grand interior from this era. (Bodelwyddan Castle)
Bodelwyddan Castle again. What can I say?! Its a staircase but I like it! πŸ™‚
These huge windows must have provided good light for whoever took advantage of  the huge rooms in the castle.

All in all a very good day and a very informative one. Visit there if you get time. πŸ‘
